FUTURA

Futura is a jacquard wool scarf produced in a limited run of 100 pieces and it presents, on one side, the word “Futura”, Numero Cromatico’s wolfdog and, on the other, the verse “Per te invento l’amore” [For you I create love], generated with the help of one of Numero Cromatico’s artificial intelligences, instructed to write love poems.
The scarf is intended as a manifesto, a declaration of the group towards art, the public and the city of Rome. The scarf represents the unity of a group, the love of art and the belief that art is an engine of revolution and change.
Futura was made on the occasion of winning the Taverna Prize in 2022. For the occasion, Numero Cromatico was asked to make a palladium talisman to protect the city of Rome, which inspired the scarf’s contents.
